I guess I’m not as much of an enthusiast for Almodovar’s work as Leo but I still enjoyed this. Certainly for me it works much better than Bad Education – Almodovar is obviously more inspired by his female characters. But I can’t help feeling that a film dealing with child abuse, incest, and murder should somehow run a bit more deeply.
